James serves as the chairman of the elder board and loves teaching in the church, studying theology and philosophy, and growing intercultural relationships. James claims Las Vegas is “home”, but serving in the military for over 20 years if you ask him where he’s from, he may give you a different answer each time (although rumor has it he has a thing for Texas). James is fan of U2, jazz, classic rock, and has quite the Tooth and Nail collection of the greats – Stavesacre, Five Iron Frenzy, Supertones, etc. James has grown up in the church being a part of the global body, and has been serving at Cornerstone for over 13 years now. He is married to Amy with four girls – Brittany, Leah, Miriam, and Isabella. Besides his four girls, the family has one dog, two cats, a lizard, and four gold fish. He is and Italian food snob, can’t turn down a good burger or donut, and loves to savor a hot cup of joe on a cool crisp fall morning. He likes hiking, golfing, and racquet ball, but is not very good at any of them (except for hiking). He is also a huge fan of cleaning his garage which satisfies his introvert spirit.
