Mission Statement

To give glory and praise to God the Father and His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ through music, scripture and prayer.  And to lead the body of Christ, the congregation, in that effort.

How do we do that?

Higher - We Glorify God by responding to His holiness through praise.

Deeper - We are intentional in our worship of Him through study, prayer and practice.

Stronger - We are intentional in building relationships and unity among the worship team by having fun and caring for each other.

Farther - Praising God prepares our hearts to hear and obey His Word, so we can then take the Gospel to the untouched and unreached.

Philosophy of Worship

Our philosophy of worship can best be described as a blended worship style.

Blended worship draws from the past as well as today (contemporary).  This allows us to learn from and enjoy the great hymns and rich heritage of the past as well as the contemporary songs (well-written choruses) of our day because God is alive and active in our world today.  Because God’s mercies are new every morning new songs will continue to flow from the heart of believers in every generation.

Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Eph. 5:19-20 NIV

What the worship team is about?

We are about authentic worship as opposed to perfected worship; using our talents to the best of our abilities.

Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him.  Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.  Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.   Psalm 33:1-3

Being on the worship team should give you joy in service.  Joy is contagious!

You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.  O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.  Psalm 30:11-12

How can I become a part of the worship team?

I'm glad you asked!

Practices are normally held on Thursday at 7 PM in the Worship Center.

You can find the Worship Team Schedule and blog by clicking here.

If you are interested on joining us for one of our practices contact Eric White, Interim Worship Director.

How can I become a part of the Media Team?

Perhaps you are not a vocalist nor instrumentalist but would love to help the Worship Ministry.  We have two areas on the Media Team that you can help.

You can be trained to help run the Media Computer for the songs, Mastering MP3's of the Message, and playing videos.

The other area is the Sound Board.  We are looking for people with an ear for music who would like to be trained to run the Sound Board and to help setup and take down the audio equipment needed each week for the services.

If you have an interest in being part of the audiovisual team helping with either the song slides or the sound board Eric White, Interim Worship Director can also help you.
